Finding and Viewing Data

Can I view data that is in Google Earth’s KML format?

Yes! Our goal with InteleView was the make a global viewer that could integrate data from as many sources as possible, and that includes data in KML format. There are two easy ways to load KML data:

  1. If you have a KML file on your local computer, and you want to preview it, you can select File: Import KML/KMZ file and choose the file you want to open. This will load the file for viewing in InteleView.
  2. If you have a KML file on your computer, or the URI of a KML file online, and you would like to make it available in InteleView even if you log in on a different computer, you can use our KML upload tool. This will copy the KML file to our server, and you will be able to access it through the "My Uploaded Layers" section of the layer manager. See "Uploading Data" for more information.

Why can't I see all the real-time sensor and other data?

The Intelesense system (InteleView with our server) is actually housing all kinds of data for all kinds of people/applications. While we encourage everyone to share their data with the world, some of these data suppliers (either data layers or sensors) regard their data as sensitive and thus only people in their group can see it (that’s part of the service we provide for them- security of data). So, when you login as a guest user, you unfortunately can’t see that there’s much, much more data handled by the system but we’re hoping that more people share more data so we can all benefit!
