Could an InteleCell be used to provide internet access to a PC in the field?

While the Intelecell-based network is tuned for intermittent transmission of record-based sensor or medical data, we actually developed a second wireless network that’s more tuned for higher-bandwidth, constantly on data like Internet use. This wireless network provides up to 1.5Mbps over a range of up to 15 miles/24km LOS with high-gain antenna.  For additional range, we’ll be developing a self-powered repeater station that would provide another 15 miles/24km LOS hop.

We actually use this high speed wireless network in our new InteleVideo product- it’s a self-contained, ruggedized, self-powered videoteleconferencing suitcase and includes a WiFi access point inside.  This would wirelessly enable a remote clinic with Internet, easy-to-use videoconferencing, etc which would allow teletraining and teleconsultation over the Internet to anywhere in the world.  We’ll have some other new products in this area in the fall as well.

What sensors and devices are supported by the InteleCell?

We are constantly working to add support for new sensors, so the list is frequently updated. You can find the latest list of supported sensors here. If you have a specific sensor you’d like to use, you can suggest it in the forum, or you can hire us to design something specifically for your application. 

How do I get my own InteleCell?

The InteleCell is available in our online store, along with the equipment and accessories necessary to create sensor networks that meet your needs. 

Can I control access to the data collected by my InteleCell?

The more data that is publicly accessible, the more value everyone can get out of the system. However, we understand that sometimes data access must be restricted. For this reason, you can set access permissions individually for each data source in your InteleNet.
