What is the range of the InteleCell?
Using the standard antenna, an individual InteleCell has a range of 14 miles (line of sight). With a directional yagi antenna, that is extended to 40 miles. However, an InteleCell does not need to be directly within this range of a base station. The advanced, self-organizing mesh networking allows data to find its way back to a base station if there is any available path between the two. As long as the distance between nodes is less than the maximum range of the individual InteleCells, the data will find a route.

How is the InteleCell powered?
The InteleCell was designed for long term use in rugged environments. It has an internal sealed lead acid battery with a useful lifetime of over ten years. Charging is done through the charge port, which can accept a wall-mount charger or solar for field applications. We are working on wind and other power sources as well.
