Intelesense Technologies links people with their environment. We have developed a world-wide wireless sensor network for air, water, weather, imagery, and other sensor data that transmits its data from anywhere in the world, integrates with other layers of data from hundreds of thousands of other sources automatically, and provides real-time advanced visualization and collaboration portals to empower people to do Big Things. Current projects range from protecting some of the most beautiful and biodiverse places on our planet, to tracking emerging infectious diseases, to helping children from around the world to connect and interact with each other and better understand their environment and each other.

Our current opening is for a Portal Engineer that will use our Drupal-based portal infrastructure, our Data Exchange APIs, and over a million layers of data to help our clients do big, important, positive things for the planet, such as climate change monitoring (NSF-funded project with Univ of Hawaii and Alaska), PlanetarySkin (conservation and climate change/carbon monitoring), The Nature Conservancy (conservation), as well as protection of people (DHS situational awareness tools, civil defense and disaster response).
This role will have you directly interfacing with our clients and developers to use our Drupal and other web and GIS-based tools to build out their portals to accomplish their goals, thus a good eye for graphic design/layout and extreme customer focus with teamwork and a positive attitude are very important. In addition, independence, multi-tasking, and problem solving are highly valued and expected abilities. Additional skills would involve building new tools for client needs using PHP, javascript, Drupal modules, and other tools.
Job Duties:
• Development, maintenance and updates for client portals
• Online and phone support/videocons
• Drupal development as required
• Administration and deployment of Drupal using Aegir
Qualifications:
This is a great job that gives incredible experience, but we require talented people with a strong work ethic and the following qualifications:
Required:
• Drupal configuration and development
• PHP proficiency, Javascript, jQuery, CSS, SOAP/REST
• Experience with SQL, particulary MySQL and PgSQL
• Experience with version control systems such as SVN or CVS
• Graphical design skills
• Web analytic skills using Google Anlaytics
• Conversion oriented design skills for B2B and B2E settings
Desired:
• GIS experience, including PostGIS/PostgreSQL
• CMS development and theming experience with Drupal
• Experience with Drush and Aegir for managing Drupal installations
• Salesforce campaign and report building
• Ability to present and manage projects
• US Citizenship and/or US security clearance
Compensation: long-term contracting/base
