Intelesense expands environmental work in Hawaii

Intelesense Technologies and the University of Hawaii Center for Conservation Research and Training (CCRT) announced today an expansion of their project for next-generation integrated environmental monitoring. The new contract would further expand the technology development and broad deployment of Intelesense Technologies on the Hawaiian Islands.Included in the work is an expansion of existing deployments, the first underground (Makauwahi Cave) monitoring project, user portal work, supporting K-12 educational use, and a future deployment using PEACESAT at a remote south Pacific island location.
"We are very pleased to be expanding our joint work with the University of Hawaii NSF EPSCoR program", stated Dr Kevin Montgomery, CEO of Intelesense, "Besides making a significant contribution to environmental research, our deployments in Hawaii help everyone understand the interrelationships of people with their environment".
Intelesense was spun off from Stanford University and the UH NSF EPSCoR program in early 2005 and has corporate offices in Honolulu, Hawaii with research and development offices in Silicon Valley, California and field offices with collaborative partners in deployment zones worldwide. Current projects range from protecting some of the most beautiful and biodiverse places on our planet, tracking emerging infectious diseases to ensure public health, and helping people from around the world connect and interact with each other and better understand their environment and themselves.
