Environmental Research Contract Awarded

04-01-05 -- HONOLULU, HAWAII -- Intelesense TechnologiesTM announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii for producing a state of the art distributed wireless environmental monitoring network.

This contract funds the advancement of the core technology of Intelesense, as well as the deployment of this technology in four testbed sites: Limahuli Valley and Lawai (in collaboration with the National Tropical Botanical Garden) on the island of Kauai, Western Maui (in collaboration with Maui Land and Pineapple, Inc), and at the University of Hawaii-Manoa Campus on Oahu. The system will form the basis for a 'cyberinfrastructure' for research in the test bed sites to include developing an integrated geodatabase, web-based information delivery and advanced visualization to enable understanding of the multiparameter sensor data, a facility for integration of disparate data sources, and a facility for sophisticated simulation and modeling of the ecosystem.

"We are incredibly excited to be working closely with the Center for Conservation Research and Drs Kaneshiro and Kido", Dr. Montgomery, CEO of Intelesense said, "Our work will greatly accelerate our shared vision of integrated environmental monitoring for Hawaii and the world".

Intelesense Technologies is headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii.
