Dr. Carsten Mundt is the Chief Technology Officer of Intelesense Technologies and has over 15 years of experience in the development of data acquisition devices and sensors with an emphasis on environmental and medical monitoring. He has extensive experience in the areas of wireless embedded systems design and firmware development. Dr. Mundt also supports several NASA and DoD related projects, including the development of wearable, wireless, physiologic monitors, and free-flyer satellites for biological research in space and medicine. Dr. Mundt received a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. At Intelesense, Carsten manages product development, supports field deployments, and is involved in hardware and firmware design.
Valerie Barker
Valerie Barker received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State in 2000 and an MS in Electromechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 2002. Her experience includes mechanical design, embedded systems design, sensor development and thermal engineering. Ms. Barker has applied her multidisciplinary skills on a variety of projects including wearable physiologic monitors and biosensors for the detection of chemical and biological warfare agents. She has been with NASA Ames Research Center since 2002 working on free flyer satellites for biological research in space. She joined the Intelesense team in 2006 and currently does embedded system design and firmware development for the Intelecell Base Station.
Chris Maxwell
Chris Maxwell received his B.S. degree in Computer Science from San Jose State in 2003, and proceeded to spend the next three years as the lead software developer of the NASA World Wind project at NASA Ames Research Center. With experience in many of the disciplines software development, including graphics, databases, and networking, he helped bring this highly visible open-source project from concept through multiple release cycles. He also designed and managed the server backend to withstand millions of downloads and hundreds of simultaneous users. He has now joined Intelesense full time to take worldwide visualization to the next level with Inteleview.
Jeff Addison
Jeff Addison brings 14 years of commercial high-tech product development experience to Intelesense. He has developed scientific software for many well known organizations including NASA, DaimlerChrysler, Worldlink, Perceptron, and Delphi Automotive. Jeff has led teams of software engineers to build advanced products in the areas of digital speech signal processing and automation & control. These products include hydrogen fuel-cell control, distributed lighting systems control, and sawmill automation. Over the past several years, Jeff has focused his career on 3D geospatial analysis and visualization. He has pioneered the design of innovative and intuitive user-interfaces for 3D geospatial applications and will utilize these skills with InteleView.
Matt Rutishauser
Matthew Rutishauser has undergraduate degrees in Earth Science and Marine Biology. He received his MA in Biology from U.C. Santa Cruz in 2001. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Rutishauser worked professionally as an advocate for environmental issues and as a wildlife biologist at Long Marine Laboratory, where he studied a broad array of marine mammals using biotelemetry devices. Currently, Mr. Rutishauser is working towards an MS in Computer Engineering from U.C. Santa Cruz. His research is focused on wireless, sensor networks to study terrestrial predators such as coyotes and mountain lions. At Intelesense, he is developing firmware and device drivers to link environmental and biomedical sensor platforms to Intelecells.
Khoa Nguyen
Khoa Nguyen received his B.S degree in Physics in 2007 from California State University, East Bay (formerly Hayward). He will be pursuing his M.S degree at San Jose State University in Fall 2008, specializing in quantum optics and electronics. At Intelesense, he applies his additional training in order to provide system administration support, and testing electrical devices and visualization software.
Mallawa (AJ) Perera
